Date Nights

Just thought I would clarify...

Joel and I leave the 2 older kids at home with a sitter all the time to go on dates, however, this was our first night to leave Austin with a teen sitter. Maybe it's just me, but I'm not ready to leave my baby with anyone, except Daddy or Grandma, until they are at least 6 months. Maybe I am a little crazy and attached but that's just me. So what do you guys think, how old do you start leaving your kids with a teenage babysitter?

Night on the town...

For our anniversary Joel and I went down to historic downtown Folsom. We had dinner at great little urban restaurant and saw an off-broadway musical at an adorable little theater on Sutter Street. It was called "I love you, your perfect, now change". We thought appropriate for an anniversary date. It was so much fun. I was laughing so hard one time, I was crying. They acted out every possible relationship situation from the first date, to riding in the family car. It was our first night leaving all the kids with a babysitter, so I was a little nervous, but we all made it through in one piece. We love our babysitter.

9 Happy Years!

Joel and I are celebrating our 9th anniversary today, I can't believe how quickly the time has gone by. I am so thankful for the life and family we have created together and wouldn't have wanted to do it with anyone else. I think what I love most about this man is that I love who I am when I am with him. He has really challenged me to be a better person and I hope I have done the same for him. I look forward to growing old with you sweetheart!
