Design on a Dime

At the end of July I decided to give my kitchen cabinets a makeover. I have been thinking about it since we moved into the house and when I finally accepted the cabinets were not going to paint themselves, I dove into the project. I didn't get any before pictures, but I found this one I took of the kitchen just after we moved in.

Here is what it looks like today...

We have not put the knobs on yet, accept this one on the left of the microwave.

I am pretty proud of myself, I think it turned out pretty good. I have to give some credit to my dad who gave me the confidence to do this. There wasn't a summer or holiday weekend growing up that we weren't knee deep in a project around the house. I guess he knew someday I would buy a bank owned home that needed a lot of work, or maybe he just liked to torture his kids...
thanks anyway!

It looks amazing. I need to get some of your confidence and energy to do that. Our cabinets need a desperate makeover. Also, I love the green paint. Way cute!!

Good job! Funny about the bank-owned home. Your dad MUST have known. I don't know how you find the time/energy with three kids and Joel gone so much. I'm impressed!
